Dispenser Information
PIF was offered as a premium in a German "YPS" comic in 1989. His name PIF is printed on his left ear on the head of the dispenser.
YPS is a German comic book which ran for over 1,000 issues since 1975. It was discontinued in 2000. Loosely based on the French Pif Gadget, Yps was highly popular due to the toy gimmick wrapped with every issue.
Prior to being featured in the German comic, PIF le chien (PIF the dog in French) was originallya dog character created by José Cabrero Arnal in the 1960s and featured in a French magazine.
