Printed Country is a means of designating the origin of a Pez dispenser.

Information About Printed Country

Based on

The country of origin (where the dispenser was made) is normally indicated at the base of one side of the stem, beneath the words "Made in".

Variations

While most Pez dispensers have the country of origin molded into the plastic during stem production along with the patent information and the PEZ name, there are some dispensers that have No Country name on the stem and others that have the country name printed on the stem.

In Europe, dispensers are not required to show their country of origin as is required in the United States. Dispensers that were produced for the European market but which are then intended to be sold in the United States therefore need to have the name of the country of origin printed on the stem after manufacturing.

Years Produced

It appears that printed country stems are limited to the 2000's.

Feet

All printed country stems have normal feet.

Patents & Countries

Printed country stems seem to be limited to dispensers with a 5.9 patent. Most printed country stems are made in China, though there are also some from Hungary.

Stems

There does not appear to be a specific color associated with printed country stems.
