The Half Flower markings are two small flower-like symbols that appear on the stem of certain dispensers directly below the "Made in Yugoslavia" text. They will only be found on dispensers manufactured in Yugoslavia, however not all Yugoslavia stems include the half-flowers. Many collectors search out these stems as a distinct variation.
The purpose of the markings is unclear, though it has been hypothesized that they served as some kind of placement guide for the country of origin text.
A list of dispensers that can be found with this mark include:
- Captain Hook
- Doctor
- Donald Duck
- Fat Ear Bunny
- Fireman
- Jiminy Cricket
- Knight
- Maharajah
- Mexican
- Mickey Mouse (die-cut face)
- Nurse
- Pirate
- Pluto
- Policeman
- Pony-Go-Round
- Practical Pig
- Sheriff
- Sheik
- Zorro
